The sale will take place in the Media Center at Bingham Farms Elementary School (23400 W. 13 Mile Rd, Bingham Farms, MI 48025) on Tuesday, May 13 from 8am – 8pm, and Wednesday, May 14, Thursday, May 15 and Friday, May 16 from 8a – 7p, AND Saturday, May 17 from 10am – 2pm. Raise Money for Thurston High School by Test Driving a Ford 5/21/08
In a creative twist on traditional fundraising, the residents of Redford will have the opportunity to earn money for Thurston High School simply by test driving a new Ford vehicle. For every participant who takes a 2008 Focus, Edge or other new Ford product for a spin during the Cruise 4 UR School event on Wednesday May 21, Ford and Pat Milliken Ford will donate $20, up to a total of $6,000, to Thurston High School’s Band Boosters.

Windsor Police Pipe Band Host Celtic Extravaganza 6/7/08
The Windsor Police Pipe Band is proud to present Celtic Generations – Saturday, June 7 at the Monaghan’s Knights of Columbus in Livonia, Michigan.This event will showcase all the hard work the pipe band has put in over the winter as they prepare for the forthcoming competition season. It will also give the community a chance to experience an atmosphere that mirrors the kitchen parties those of Celtic descent are so well known for.
The night will feature acts from some of the area’s finest Celtic performers, including the Windsor Police Pipe Band—Grade 4, Windsor Police Pipe Corps—Grade 1, Kathleen McMahon School of Highland Dance, Cape Breton pianist Tom MacNeil, Cape Breton fiddler Kenneth MacLeod, and folk entertainer Colin Paige. Scottish fare and beverages will be available for purchase at the hall, as well as raffle prizes. All proceeds will go towards equipment needed for the upcoming competition season. Advanced tickets are US$12 for adults (US$6 for children under age 10) and US$15 at the door (US$9 for children).

4th of July Family Picnic at Freedom Hill - Veterans Of Modern Warfare Veterans of Modern Warfare Southeast Michigan Chapter 4. My VMW chapter and the Vietnam Veterans of America 154 are putting together a 4th of July Family Picnic at Freedom Hill, Steriling Hgts. We are honoring all Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom Veterans while showing our support to the men and women who are still serving state side and overseas in the opening ceremony. We will have the VVA's Michigan Moving Wall and will be unveiling our Moving Wall Honoring all soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifce while serving our country. There will be live bands and a DJ all day, kids games, facepainting and will end the day with the Macomb County Fireworks.
